Revamping American Infrastructure Act of 2020

This bill addresses the use of performance-based standards by the Department of Transportation (DOT).

Specifically, DOT must

  • invite the public to identify DOT regulations, guidance, and policies that establish prescriptive requirements for regulated entities that can be replaced with performance-based standards;
  • submit and implement a plan to address feedback from the public that includes a detailed plan to replace the regulations, guidance, and policies with such standards; and
  • ensure that its regulations, guidance, and policies issued are issued as performance-based standards.
