Congressional Summary of S 3033

This bill directs the Department of Defense to design and produce an Atomic Veterans Service Medal to honor retired and former members of the Armed Forces who are radiation-exposed veterans.

The Department may provide for issuance of the Medal to the next-of-kin of a deceased radiation-exposed veteran.
