Alaska Land Use Council Act

This bill establishes the Alaska Land Use Council for improving coordination, efficiency, and cooperation among federal, state, and Alaska Native corporations and Tribal land managers in addressing land and resource issues.

The council must be comprised of specific members and shall meet at least four times a year. In addition, the council may appoint advisory members to assist the council with specific matters on an ad hoc basis.

The council must study and advise certain governmental agencies, Alaska Native tribes and corporations of any: (1) ongoing and proposed land and resource uses in the state, and (2) matters submitted by council members for advice. A committee of land use advisors may be established by the council to assist the council in implementing programs.

The council shall terminate 15 years after the enactment of this bill, unless Congress grants an extension.
