Congressional Summary of S 993

Amends the Omnibus Consolidated and Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act, 1999 to extend until October 1, 2001, the reenactment of chapter 12 of the Federal Bankruptcy Code (Adjustment of Debts of a Family Farmer with Regular Annual Income) (thereby extending family farmer bankruptcy relief).

Makes this Act effective as of June 1, 2001 (the previous expiration date).
