This bill provides for the classification of drugs or other substances that are part of approved breakthrough therapies as schedule II controlled substances under the Controlled Substances Act. (Schedule II controlled substances are substances that have a high potential for abuse but have a currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States or a currently accepted medical use with severe restrictions.)
