Firearm Industry Non-Discrimination Act or the FIND Act

This bill prohibits the federal government from entering into contracts with an entity that discriminates against firearm trade associations or businesses that deal in firearms, ammunition, or related products.

Specifically, the bill requires a federal agency to include in each contract for the procurement of goods or services awarded by the agency a clause requiring the prime contractor to certify that it (1) has no policy, practice, guidance, or directive that discriminates against a firearm entity or firearm trade association; and (2) will not adopt a policy, practice, guidance, or directive that discriminates against a firearm entity or firearm trade association during the term of the contract.

The bill establishes (1) a similar requirement with respect to subcontracts, and (2) penalties for violations.

The bill makes such prohibition inapplicable to a contract for the procurement of goods or services that is a sole-source contract.

The FIND Act, also known as Bill 118 s 428, is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The purpose of this bill is to address the issue of missing persons, particularly those who are vulnerable or at risk.

The FIND Act aims to improve coordination and communication between law enforcement agencies, non-profit organizations, and other entities involved in the search for missing persons. It also seeks to enhance data collection and reporting on missing persons cases, in order to better track and respond to these incidents.

Additionally, the FIND Act includes provisions for training and resources to help law enforcement agencies and other organizations effectively respond to missing persons cases. This includes funding for specialized training programs and the development of best practices for handling these situations. Overall, the FIND Act is designed to improve the response to missing persons cases and increase the likelihood of finding and safely recovering individuals who have gone missing. It emphasizes collaboration and coordination among various stakeholders to ensure a more effective and efficient response to these critical situations.
