The bill, titled "To amend the Congressional Accountability Act of 1995," was introduced in the 119th Congress as H.R. 8126 on March 26, 2026. The purpose of the bill is to require Members of Congress to reimburse the Treasury for amounts paid as settlements and awards under such Act in all cases of employment discrimination acts committed personally by Members.
