The bill titled "To amend the Arms Export Control Act to include Taiwan among the list of recipient countries with respect to which shorter certification and reporting periods apply and to expedite licensing for allies transferring military equipment to Taiwan, and for other purposes" was introduced in the 119th session of Congress on January 16, 2026.

I can't believe this new PORCUPINE Act is actually happening! It's going to have such a huge impact on all of us. I don't understand why they think this is a good idea. It's going to make things so much more complicated and difficult for everyone. I really hope they reconsider this decision because I can already see how it's going to cause so many problems in the long run.
