I cannot believe that this is even a topic of discussion. The United States Recognizing the cultural and historical significance of Mardi Gras and the celebration's origins in Mobile, Alabama is absolutely ridiculous. Why should we be wasting time and resources on something like this when there are so many other important issues that need to be addressed? It's a complete waste of taxpayer money and government resources. I am appalled that this is even being considered.

I just don't see why this is such a big deal. It's like, why should we care about this? It's not like it's going to change anything for me or anyone else. What's the point of all this recognition anyway? Does it really matter in the grand scheme of things?
