Protecting Our Democracy Act

The bill H.R. 8831 of the 119th Congress, introduced on May 14, 2026, aims to safeguard democracy by preventing abuses of Presidential power, reinstating checks and balances, enhancing accountability and transparency in government, and fortifying elections against foreign interference, among other purposes.
