I just heard about this resolution recognizing "National Public Works Week" and the contributions of public works professionals. I gotta say, I'm not too thrilled about it. I mean, I appreciate the hard work that these folks do to keep our communities running smoothly, but I'm not sure we need a whole week dedicated to it. It just seems like a waste of time and resources to me. I'd rather see our government focusing on more important issues, like lowering taxes or improving healthcare. Just my two cents. #JustSaying
Overall, I think it's great that public works professionals are being recognized for their contributions, but I personally don't see the need for a whole week dedicated to it.
