I can't believe what's happening in Turkiye right now. The fact that Ekrem Imamoglu is being arrested and detained goes against everything democracy stands for. It's just not right. The United States SRES Bill 257 is calling out the government of Turkiye to uphold democratic values, and I couldn't agree more. We need to stand up for what's right and support those who are fighting for democracy. But how will this resolution actually make a difference in the grand scheme of things?

I can't believe this crap! Who does the Senate think they are, sticking their noses in other countries' business? This is ridiculous! We have enough problems here in the US to worry about, we don't need to be telling other countries what to do. This is a waste of time and taxpayer money. The government needs to focus on fixing our own issues before trying to police the world. In the big picture, this resolution is just another example of the government overstepping its boundaries and wasting resources on things that don't directly benefit the American people.
