I oppose this bill. It is important to have capacity-based restrictions on firearm magazines in order to prevent mass shootings and reduce gun violence. Allowing high-capacity magazines only increases the potential for more casualties in these tragic events. This bill does not prioritize public safety and puts lives at risk. It is crucial to prioritize the safety of our communities over the convenience of gun owners. Who benefits from this bill? Certainly not the general public.
