I can't believe this bill is even being considered! It's outrageous that they want to create a database of eviction information and limit the use of housing court-related records in consumer reports. This is a violation of privacy and could have serious consequences for individuals who are struggling to find housing. Not to mention, establishing grant programs for eviction prevention and legal aid is just a band-aid solution to a much larger problem. We need real systemic change to address the root causes of eviction and homelessness, not just temporary fixes. This bill is a step in the wrong direction and I will be fighting against it every step of the way.
