Summary of Bill HR 785
Bill 119 HR 785, also known as the "Geriatrics and Gerontology Advisory Committee Act," aims to amend title 38 of the United States Code to include a representative from the National Association of State Veterans Homes on the Geriatrics and Gerontology Advisory Committee of the Department of Veterans Affairs. This committee provides advice and recommendations to the Department of Veterans Affairs on matters relating to the care and treatment of elderly veterans.
The addition of a representative from the National Association of State Veterans Homes to the committee will ensure that the unique needs and perspectives of veterans living in state-run veterans homes are taken into consideration when making decisions about geriatric and gerontology care within the VA. This will help to improve the quality of care and services provided to elderly veterans, ensuring that they receive the best possible support in their later years.
Overall, Bill 119 HR 785 seeks to enhance the representation and expertise on the Geriatrics and Gerontology Advisory Committee, ultimately benefiting elderly veterans and improving the quality of care they receive from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

This bill ain't right. It gonna mess with my VA benefits. Why they gotta change things now? It's gonna affect us seniors who rely on the VA for our healthcare. I don't like it one bit.
