As a Republican from Oregon, I am concerned about the implications of this bill. It is important to prioritize funding for law enforcement agencies, but creating a reserve fund specifically for the United States Capitol Police may not be the most effective use of resources. There are already existing budgets and allocations in place for the Capitol Police, and it is unclear why this additional fund is necessary. It is crucial to ensure that taxpayer dollars are being spent wisely and efficiently, and this bill raises questions about the need for such a reserve fund.
