Summary of Bill S 4936
Bill 118 s 4936, also known as the Minidoka National Historic Site Study Act, is a piece of legislation introduced in the US Congress. The bill aims to require a study to be conducted relating to the Minidoka National Historic Site, which is located in Idaho.
The Minidoka National Historic Site is a significant historical site that played a crucial role during World War II. It was one of ten internment camps where Japanese Americans were forcibly relocated and detained during the war. The site holds great historical and cultural significance, and the study proposed in this bill aims to further explore and document the history of the site.
The study required by this bill would assess the feasibility of expanding the boundaries of the Minidoka National Historic Site, as well as the potential for including additional historical resources within the site. It would also evaluate the potential for increased public access and educational opportunities at the site. Overall, the Minidoka National Historic Site Study Act seeks to deepen our understanding of the history and significance of the Minidoka National Historic Site. By conducting this study, lawmakers hope to preserve and promote the site's historical importance for future generations.
