The Vaccine Access Improvement Act of 2023, also known as Bill 118 hr 5143, is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. It also includes provisions to improve vaccine education and awareness among underserved communities, including minority populations and rural areas. Furthermore, the Vaccine Access Improvement Act of 2023 seeks to enhance vaccine infrastructure by investing in the development of new technologies for vaccine storage and distribution. This includes funding for the purchase of refrigeration units, transportation vehicles, and other equipment necessary to ensure vaccines are stored and transported safely. Overall, this bill is designed to promote widespread vaccination and increase access to vaccines for all Americans. By addressing barriers to vaccination, improving education and awareness, and investing in infrastructure, the Vaccine Access Improvement Act of 2023 aims to protect public health and prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
