Summary of Bill HR 4254
Bill 118 hr 4254, also known as the "Prohibition of US Contributions to International Organizations Advocating Underage Sexual Activity Act," aims to prevent the United States from providing financial support to international organizations that promote or advocate for sexual activity involving individuals who are younger than the minimum age of consent established within the United States.
The bill specifically targets international organizations that actively promote or condone sexual activity among individuals who have not reached the age of consent as defined by US law. This includes organizations that may be advocating for the lowering of age of consent laws or promoting practices that are illegal under US law.
If passed, this legislation would prohibit the US government from providing any financial contributions or support to these organizations. This would serve as a way to ensure that US taxpayer dollars are not being used to support activities that are in direct violation of US laws regarding the age of consent. Overall, the goal of Bill 118 hr 4254 is to uphold and protect the legal standards and values surrounding the age of consent in the United States, and to prevent US funds from being used to support organizations that promote underage sexual activity.
