The Safe Bases Act, also known as Bill 118 hr 391, is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The main goal of this bill is to enhance the safety and security of military bases across the country.
One of the key provisions of the Safe Bases Act is the implementation of stricter background checks for individuals seeking access to military bases. Additionally, the bill calls for increased security measures, such as the installation of additional surveillance cameras and the hiring of more security personnel.
Another important aspect of the Safe Bases Act is the establishment of a reporting system for suspicious activity on military bases. This would allow for quicker response times to potential threats and help prevent security breaches. Overall, the Safe Bases Act aims to strengthen the security protocols in place at military bases in order to better protect service members, their families, and civilians who work on or visit these facilities. It is currently being debated in Congress, with supporters arguing that it is necessary to ensure the safety of those who serve our country.
