Summary of Bill HR 3818
Bill 118 hr 3818, also known as the "Consumer Conventional Cooking Products Act," aims to prevent the Secretary of Energy from implementing a proposed rule that would impact consumer conventional cooking products. The bill seeks to protect consumers' ability to choose and use traditional cooking appliances without interference from government regulations.
The proposed rule in question would potentially restrict the availability and use of conventional cooking products, such as gas stoves and ovens, in favor of more energy-efficient alternatives. Proponents of the bill argue that consumers should have the freedom to decide which cooking appliances best suit their needs and preferences, without government intervention.
If passed, this bill would prevent the Secretary of Energy from finalizing the proposed rule and ensure that consumers can continue to access and use conventional cooking products without unnecessary restrictions. The bill aims to uphold consumer choice and protect the traditional cooking methods that many Americans rely on in their daily lives.
