Summary of Bill HR 3735

Bill 118 hr 3735, also known as the Expanding Health Care Providers for Veterans Act, aims to improve access to healthcare for veterans by expanding the pool of healthcare providers who can treat them. The bill specifically focuses on allowing veterans to receive care from advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) and physician assistants (PAs) who work within the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) system.

Currently, the VA faces challenges in providing timely and accessible healthcare to all veterans due to a shortage of healthcare providers. By allowing APRNs and PAs to provide care to veterans, the bill seeks to alleviate this shortage and ensure that veterans receive the care they need in a timely manner.

The bill also includes provisions to ensure that APRNs and PAs who provide care to veterans meet certain qualifications and standards of care. This is important to ensure that veterans receive high-quality healthcare services from these providers. Overall, the Expanding Health Care Providers for Veterans Act aims to improve access to healthcare for veterans by expanding the pool of healthcare providers who can treat them. This bill has the potential to positively impact the lives of many veterans by ensuring they receive the care they need in a timely and efficient manner.
