Summary of Bill HR 3516
Bill 118 hr 3516, also known as the Federal Agency Workforce Accountability Act (FAWA), is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The purpose of this bill is to increase accountability and transparency within federal agencies by requiring them to report on various workforce metrics.
Under FAWA, federal agencies would be required to report on the demographics of their workforce, including information on race, gender, age, and disability status. This data would be used to identify any disparities or inequities within the workforce and to develop strategies for addressing them.
Additionally, the bill would require agencies to report on employee satisfaction and engagement, as well as on the effectiveness of their diversity and inclusion programs. This information would be used to assess the overall health and effectiveness of the federal workforce and to make improvements where necessary. Overall, FAWA aims to promote a more diverse, inclusive, and accountable federal workforce by requiring agencies to regularly report on key workforce metrics. This information would help to identify areas for improvement and to ensure that federal agencies are effectively serving the American people.
