Bill 118 hr 2532, also known as the Women in NCAA Sports Act, is a piece of legislation introduced in the US Congress that aims to address gender equity issues in collegiate athletics. The bill specifically focuses on ensuring that female athletes have equal opportunities and resources as their male counterparts within the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

The Women in NCAA Sports Act requires the NCAA to conduct a comprehensive review of its policies and practices related to gender equity in sports. This includes examining areas such as scholarship opportunities, facilities, coaching staff, and overall support for female athletes. The bill also mandates that the NCAA develop and implement a plan to address any disparities or inequities that are identified during the review process.

Additionally, the Women in NCAA Sports Act requires the NCAA to report annually to Congress on its progress in promoting gender equity in collegiate athletics. This report must include data on the participation rates, scholarship opportunities, and resources available to female athletes within the NCAA. Overall, the Women in NCAA Sports Act seeks to ensure that female athletes have the same opportunities to succeed in collegiate sports as their male counterparts. By requiring the NCAA to review and address any gender equity issues, this bill aims to create a more level playing field for all student-athletes participating in NCAA sports.
