Summary of Bill HR 118

Bill 118 hr 118, also known as the No Vaccine Passports Act, is a piece of legislation introduced in the US Congress. The main purpose of this bill is to prohibit the federal government from issuing or requiring vaccine passports for travel, entry into businesses, or any other purpose.

The bill states that individuals should not be required to show proof of vaccination in order to participate in everyday activities or access public spaces. It aims to protect the privacy and personal freedoms of American citizens by preventing the government from mandating the use of vaccine passports.

Supporters of the No Vaccine Passports Act argue that requiring proof of vaccination infringes on individual rights and could lead to discrimination against those who choose not to get vaccinated. They believe that vaccination status should be a personal choice and should not be used as a requirement for participation in society. Opponents of the bill argue that vaccine passports are necessary to ensure public safety and prevent the spread of infectious diseases. They believe that requiring proof of vaccination is a reasonable measure to protect the health and well-being of the population. Overall, the No Vaccine Passports Act is a controversial piece of legislation that raises important questions about individual rights, public health, and government intervention. It will be interesting to see how this bill progresses through Congress and what impact it may have on the ongoing debate surrounding vaccine passports.
