Summary of Bill HR 6754

The RETURN Act, also known as Bill 117 hr 6754, is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The main goal of this bill is to address the issue of deportations of individuals who have served in the US military.

The bill aims to provide a pathway for deported veterans to return to the United States and have their cases reviewed by the Department of Homeland Security. It also seeks to establish a program to assist deported veterans in accessing the benefits and services they are entitled to as former members of the military.

Additionally, the RETURN Act would require the Department of Homeland Security to report annually on the number of veterans who have been deported and the reasons for their deportation. This information would help to shed light on the issue and potentially lead to further reforms in the immigration system. Overall, the RETURN Act is a bipartisan effort to address the unique challenges faced by deported veterans and ensure that they are given the opportunity to return to the country they served.
