Summary of Bill HR 4105

Bill 117 HR 4105, also known as the Restoring Northern Border Travel Act, aims to address issues related to travel restrictions at the northern border of the United States. The bill seeks to restore the ability for individuals to travel freely between the US and Canada by amending certain provisions of the Immigration and Nationality Act.

Specifically, the bill proposes to allow for the issuance of nonimmigrant visas to Canadian citizens who are seeking to enter the US for temporary purposes, such as tourism, business, or visiting family. This would streamline the visa application process for Canadians and facilitate easier travel between the two countries.

Additionally, the bill includes provisions for enhanced security measures at the northern border, such as increased screening of individuals entering the US from Canada. These measures are intended to ensure the safety and security of both countries while still allowing for the free flow of legitimate travel and commerce. Overall, the Restoring Northern Border Travel Act seeks to strike a balance between security concerns and the need for efficient and convenient travel between the US and Canada. It aims to strengthen the relationship between the two countries while maintaining the safety and security of both nations.
