The Pullman National Historical Park Act seeks to preserve and protect the historic Pullman neighborhood, which played a significant role in the labor and civil rights movements in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The Pullman neighborhood was home to the Pullman Company, a major manufacturer of railroad cars, and was the site of the famous Pullman Strike of 1894.

The park would also provide educational and interpretive programs to help visitors learn about the history of the Pullman neighborhood and its impact on American history. Overall, the Pullman National Historical Park Act aims to recognize and celebrate the important contributions of the Pullman neighborhood to the labor and civil rights movements in the United States. The establishment of the Pullman National Historical Park would help to ensure that this important piece of American history is preserved and shared with future generations.
