Pay Our Military Act of 2025
3/26/2025, 2:08 AM
Summary of Bill S 876
The bill proposes that in the case of a government shutdown, funding for military pay would be considered essential and therefore exempt from the effects of the shutdown. This means that even if the government is unable to pass a budget and shuts down, military personnel would still receive their pay on time.
The bill aims to provide financial security for members of the military and their families during times of political gridlock and uncertainty. It recognizes the sacrifices and dedication of the men and women serving in the armed forces and seeks to ensure that they are not financially impacted by government dysfunction. Overall, Bill 119 s 876 is a bipartisan effort to protect the financial well-being of military personnel and ensure that they are not caught in the crossfire of political disagreements. It highlights the importance of supporting and honoring those who serve our country, regardless of the political climate.
