Summary of Bill S 696
Bill 119 s 696, also known as the "Ukrainian Guest Status Act," is a piece of legislation introduced in the US Congress. The main purpose of this bill is to provide temporary guest status for eligible aliens from Ukraine. This status would allow Ukrainian nationals to legally reside and work in the United States for a specified period of time.
The bill outlines the eligibility criteria for Ukrainian nationals to qualify for this guest status, which includes factors such as having a clean criminal record, being in good standing with immigration laws, and meeting certain employment or educational requirements. The bill also specifies the duration of the guest status, which is temporary and subject to renewal.
In addition to providing temporary guest status for Ukrainian nationals, the bill also includes provisions for other purposes. These purposes may include measures to support and assist Ukrainian immigrants in the United States, as well as to promote cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries. Overall, Bill 119 s 696 aims to address the needs of Ukrainian nationals who wish to temporarily reside and work in the United States, while also fostering positive relations between the two countries. It is currently being reviewed and debated in Congress, with the potential to become law in the future.
