Summary of Bill HR 460

Bill 119 hr 460, also known as the "Chinese Communist Party Disclosure Act," aims to increase transparency and national security by requiring aliens applying for certain visas to disclose if they receive funds from the Government of the People's Republic of China or the Chinese Communist Party. The bill directs the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Secretary of State to implement this requirement as part of the visa application process.

The bill is designed to address concerns about potential foreign influence and espionage activities by the Chinese government and Communist Party within the United States. By requiring visa applicants to disclose any financial ties to China, the bill seeks to prevent individuals with potentially conflicting loyalties from entering the country.

In addition to the disclosure requirement, the bill also includes provisions for the Secretary of Homeland Security and the Secretary of State to collaborate on developing guidelines and procedures for implementing the new disclosure requirement. This includes establishing mechanisms for verifying the accuracy of the information provided by visa applicants. Overall, Bill 119 hr 460 is aimed at enhancing national security and protecting against potential threats posed by individuals with financial ties to the Chinese government or Communist Party. The bill seeks to ensure that the United States can effectively screen visa applicants and prevent individuals with conflicting loyalties from entering the country.
