Upholding Sovereignty of Airspace Act or the USA Act

This bill requires and authorizes actions in response to the Chinese government's global surveillance program, including the Chinese government's use of surveillance balloons.

The President may impose property- and visa-blocking sanctions on foreign individuals that directly manage or oversee the Chinese government's global surveillance balloon program.

In addition, the Department of Commerce must report to Congress an evaluation of what export controls are appropriate for aerospace-related items and technologies that are used for intelligence and reconnaissance by China's military.

The bill also requires the Department of State to report to Congress a diplomatic strategy to (1) inform U.S. allies and partners of the scope of the Chinese government's surveillance program, and (2) build a global consensus to address the Chinese government's global surveillance balloon program.

The USA Act, also known as Bill 118 hr 1151, is a piece of legislation introduced in the United States Congress. The main goal of this bill is to address issues related to immigration reform and border security.

The USA Act proposes a comprehensive approach to immigration reform, including providing a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children, also known as Dreamers. This pathway would involve meeting certain requirements, such as passing a background check and paying a fee.

In addition to addressing the status of Dreamers, the USA Act also includes provisions for enhancing border security. This includes funding for technology and infrastructure improvements at the border, as well as increased resources for border patrol agents. Overall, the USA Act aims to strike a balance between providing a solution for Dreamers and enhancing border security measures. It has received bipartisan support in Congress, with lawmakers from both parties expressing a desire to find a compromise on these important issues. The bill is currently being debated and discussed in Congress, with the hope of reaching a consensus and passing it into law.
