Summary of Bill HR 1106
Bill 118 hr 1106, also known as the COST of Relocations Act, is a piece of legislation introduced in the US Congress. The main purpose of this bill is to address the costs associated with relocating federal agencies and employees.
The bill aims to require federal agencies to provide detailed reports on the costs of relocating employees and offices. This includes information on the costs of moving expenses, lease terminations, and any other expenses related to the relocation process.
Additionally, the bill seeks to establish a cost-sharing mechanism for federal agencies that are considering relocating. This would help ensure that the costs of relocation are shared fairly among the agencies involved. Overall, the COST of Relocations Act is designed to increase transparency and accountability in the federal government's relocation processes. By requiring detailed reports and establishing cost-sharing mechanisms, the bill aims to reduce unnecessary costs and ensure that taxpayer dollars are being spent efficiently.
