Summary of Bill HR 10430
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) would be required to provide hospital care and medical services to these veterans outside of their state of residence. This would help ensure that veterans with permanent and total disabilities receive the necessary treatment and support, regardless of where they live.
In addition to providing care for veterans with service-connected disabilities, the bill also includes provisions for other purposes related to improving access to care for veterans. This could include measures to streamline the process for receiving care, improve coordination between VA facilities, or enhance the quality of care provided to veterans. Overall, the Veterans Access to Care Act is aimed at ensuring that veterans with permanent and total disabilities have access to the care they need, regardless of where they live. By expanding access to hospital care and medical services outside of their home state, this bill seeks to improve the quality of life for these veterans and ensure they receive the support they deserve.
