Under this legislation, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) would be required to prioritize the removal of criminal aliens who have been convicted of aggravated felonies, crimes of violence, or drug offenses. The bill also seeks to streamline the removal process by allowing DHS to detain and remove criminal aliens more efficiently.

Additionally, the bill includes provisions to enhance cooperation between federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies in identifying and removing criminal aliens. This would involve sharing information and resources to ensure that individuals who pose a threat to public safety are promptly removed from the country. Overall, the Criminal Alien Removal Clarification Act of 2021 aims to strengthen immigration enforcement efforts and protect communities from dangerous criminal aliens. It seeks to clarify the process for removing these individuals and enhance cooperation between law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety and security of all Americans.
