Stopping Home Office Work's Unproductive Problems Act of 2023 or the SHOW UP Act of 2023
This bill requires each executive agency to reinstate the telework policies that were in place on December 31, 2019. Agencies may not implement expanded telework policies unless the Office of Personnel Management certifies that such policies, among other requirements, will have a positive effect on the agency's mission and operational costs.
The SHOW UP Act of 2023, also known as Bill 118 hr 139, is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The main goal of this bill is to address the issue of low voter turnout in elections by implementing several measures to increase voter participation.
One key provision of the SHOW UP Act is the establishment of a national voter registration system, which would make it easier for eligible voters to register and update their voter information. This system would be accessible online and would also allow for same-day voter registration on election day.
Additionally, the bill includes provisions for expanding early voting opportunities, including extending early voting periods and increasing the number of polling locations. This is aimed at making it more convenient for individuals to cast their ballots and participate in the democratic process.
The SHOW UP Act also includes measures to improve voter education and outreach, such as providing funding for voter education programs and increasing resources for voter registration drives. These efforts are intended to increase awareness and understanding of the voting process among the general public.
Overall, the SHOW UP Act of 2023 seeks to address the issue of low voter turnout by implementing a variety of measures to make it easier and more convenient for individuals to participate in elections. If passed, this legislation has the potential to increase voter participation and strengthen democracy in the United States.
