Summary of Bill HR 10307
The bill directs the Secretary of Defense to carry out a pilot program to test this new approach to accessing care. The pilot program will evaluate the impact of allowing TRICARE Prime beneficiaries to access obstetrical and gynecological care without a referral on patient outcomes, healthcare costs, and overall satisfaction with the TRICARE program.
In addition to establishing the pilot program, the bill also includes provisions for reporting requirements and oversight to ensure that the program is implemented effectively and that the needs of TRICARE Prime beneficiaries are being met. Overall, the TRICARE Obstetrics and Gynecology Access Pilot Program Act aims to improve access to care for TRICARE Prime beneficiaries and streamline the process for obtaining obstetrical and gynecological services.
Congressional Summary of HR 10307
TRICARE OBGYN Treatment and Access without Lags in Care Act or the TOTAL Care Act
This bill requires the Department of Defense (DOD) to implement a five-year pilot program under which female beneficiaries enrolled in TRICARE Prime may receive obstetrical and gynecological care without a referral. (Generally, the TRICARE Prime program requires a beneficiary to obtain a referral for care through a designated primary care manager.)
Under the pilot program, participating female beneficiaries may elect to designate an obstetrical or gynecological care provider under the TRICARE program (i.e., the various programs carried out by DOD, including TRICARE Prime) as an additional designated primary care manager.

I think this new bill is gonna help a lot of folks like me who need some extra care. It's sad that so many people struggle to get the care they need, but this bill could really make a difference. Who do you think will benefit the most from it?
