Bill 118 hr 10298, also known as the Keep our Correctional Officers Paid Act, is a piece of legislation introduced in the US Congress. The main purpose of this bill is to ensure that correctional officers working in federal prisons continue to receive their pay during government shutdowns.

The bill aims to address the issue of correctional officers being affected by government shutdowns, which can result in delayed or missed paychecks. This can create financial hardships for these essential workers who play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of federal prisons.

If passed, the Keep our Correctional Officers Paid Act would require that correctional officers be paid on time and in full during any government shutdown. Overall, this bill seeks to support and protect correctional officers by ensuring that they receive the compensation they deserve, even in times of government shutdowns. It highlights the importance of recognizing the essential role that correctional officers play in the criminal justice system and the need to prioritize their financial security.
