Bill 117 HR 4096, also known as the Transparency of Migration Act, is a piece of legislation currently being considered by the US Congress. The main goal of this bill is to increase transparency and accountability in the immigration process.

One of the key provisions of the Transparency of Migration Act is the requirement for the Department of Homeland Security to provide regular reports to Congress on the number of individuals entering the country through legal immigration channels. These reports would include information on the countries of origin of these individuals, as well as the reasons for their immigration.

Additionally, the bill calls for increased oversight of the immigration system, including the establishment of an independent oversight board to monitor the implementation of immigration policies and procedures. This board would be responsible for ensuring that immigration laws are being followed and that the rights of immigrants are being protected. The Transparency of Migration Act also includes provisions aimed at improving the efficiency of the immigration process, such as streamlining the visa application process and reducing wait times for immigrants seeking legal status in the US. Overall, the Transparency of Migration Act seeks to promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the immigration system, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that the US immigration system is fair and just for all individuals seeking to enter the country.
